Beginning in 2008, the lower main entrance to the Kurhaus Baden-Baden and the main cloakroom were extensively renovated in stages to make the way to the casino's slot machines brighter and more inviting. The new wall and ceiling designs are based on historic elements by August Stürzenacker, such as black-painted wall panels and yellow marble pilasters. For fire safety reasons, the main cloakroom was renovated and closed off from the foyer. The casino toilets were then refurbished and modernised. The refurbishment of the artists' cloakrooms followed in 2017. The work was carried out by khp architekten – Knapp Haedecke + Partner under the direction of Urban Knapp.
